Hi, my name is Wendy Yen and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I was born in Vietnam and migrated to Australia at the age of 7. My mum is Vietnamese and dad is Vietnamese/Cambodian. Unfortunately, most of my family lives interstate, so I don’t get the opportunity to speak Vietnamese anymore and I’m really out of practice.
I am a mother to two beautiful teenage daughters and work full time in the government sector specialising in project management to deliver infrastructure projects.
I love fashion, travel, food and wine! I am quite an outdoor person as I also love jogging, hiking, walking and swimming at the beach.
Fashion has always been a passion since I was a little girl and when I started blogging on Instagram, my interest became more real, satisfying and rewarding. It’s a way to express myself and be creative with styling and colours.

- I was one of those “boat people” who migrated to Australia in 1988
- Raised by my grandmother (from mum’s side)
- Used to sing a lot socially with karaoke and a live band
- Have a snake phobia (fave movie is NOT Snakes on a Plane!)
- First boy kiss was in grade 7
- Used to work in the freight industry (freight forwarding and customs brokerage) prior to the public sector
- Tried weed for the first time at the age of 41
- Love KFC hot and spicy chicken. I’d peel off the coating and eat just the meat!
- Competed in volleyball in high school, we lost all the games 🙁
- I sleep like a dead person – Kinda freaks my girls out!
